Maybe I’d try something similar for Robbie and Urich, as well. I had already had plans to do a custom Earth-616 Gwen Stacy with some well-picked parts and some acrylic paint. Might be one of superhero comics better depictions of the thesis that all the superheroes don’t necessarily make the word a better place, just a weirder. He’s generally depicted as a hard-working and serious journalist who took up the profession to make a real difference, and subsequently is a very depressed and cynical person. Then, he and Spidey usually rub each other the wrong way, adding to the conflict.)Īnd Ben Urich is also well-suited and clean-shaved, although his working hours and unhealthy lifestyle shines through too much for him to look like a ‘proper’ newsman. (To be fair, Jonah’s vendetta against Spider-Man isn’t always as heavy-handed as it appears in the movies, and his main gripes are more with masked superheroics and vigiliantism, than Spider-Man as a person. I think a recolored white Finn hairpiece would look perfect. Robbie Robertson is usually depicted as this older, proper white-haired, clean-shaven serious black man who always wear a suit and tie to work, and is usually depicted as Jonah’s right side man and his voice of reason, when his hate of Spider-Man goes out of hand. (See what I did there?) I actually like the movies, and Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone do a good job with their characters, but she doesn’t have the visual iconicity of the Earth-616 or Earth-65 counterpart. I suppose she could look somewhat like Emma Stone’s take from Mark Webb’s spin on the mythology. Even if she’s supposedly a clone, she’d look like her 616 version. Gwen Stacy doesn’t have either her iconic Earth-616 black Alice headband or the hangy-bangs of the Earth-65 Ghost Spider version. Unfortunately, some of the key characters here appear rather middling. Jonah Jameson, Betty brant, Venom, Miles Moraes, Spider-Ham, Green Goblin, Gwen Stacy, Carnage, Punisher, Peter Parker, Spider-Gwen, Black Cat, Robbie Robertson, Ben Urich, Mysterio, Daredevil, Sandman, Aunt May, newspaper worker, New York taxi driver, receptionist.
